Bad Religion foi formado em Los Angeles-CA em 1980, quando eles ainda estavam na high school, pelos estudantes Grag Graffin (vocal), Jay Bentley (baixo), Bret Gurewitz (guitarra) e Jay Ziskrout (bateria).

O som da banda se consiste em letras politizadas e totalmente contra qualquer tipo de religião, essa pegada da para perceber bastante no "Empire Strikes First" nas musicas "Atheist Peace" e "God's Love".

Tim Armstrong - A Poet's Life

Timothy Lockwood Armstrong, frontman de uma das maiores bandas da cena ska punk do mundo e como vocal de Transplants em um trabalho paralelo tem com "A Poets Life" seu primeiro trabalho solo.

O disco tem forte influência do ska e do reggae jamaicano. Um sentimento pessoal toda vez que eu escudo esse cd "que brisa!", perfeito pra curtir na praia ou em alguma festa.
